We have all fallen prey to this, needing to take action when sometimes, the best thing to do is nothing.

We don’t talk enough about the discipline it takes to not be in a position. Everyone’s obsessed with action—being allocated, being aggressive, staying “in the game.” But the truth is, in messy markets with fake breakouts, constant narrative flips, and headline-driven noise, forcing trades is often the fastest path to losses. Sitting in cash isn't weak—it’s strategic. It’s a conscious decision to wait for clarity, for alignment, for your edge. The hard part isn’t missing moves—it’s resisting the itch to do something just to feel in control. Sometimes, the strongest play is sitting still.
